Sermon Passage for Reflection/Discussion:
Luke 24:13–35

Third Sunday Easter - April 19, 2026.png

This passage reminded me of our need for faith and fellowship in our lives. We can get so distracted by difficulties that we can lose sight of God’s work and our community of hope, just like the two disciples. They were so caught up in their grief and dismay that they missed his presence until he broke bread for them. Oftentimes, it takes a miracle for us to see God in our lives when, in reality, He had been there all along. Every day of life is a miracle. What a glorious sight that must have been, to have seen Jesus even for a fleeting moment.

– Usi Mix, Elder for Christian Ed

  1. What can you do to see God at work in your everyday life, through peace and chaos?

  2. What steps can you take to break bread with your close communities more often?

  3. Why do you think it took the act of Jesus breaking the bread for the disciples to see Him?
