The 9 am music team is made up of members of our congregation who have been called to lead the congregation in singing praise to God.  We use songs from a variety of sources, including modern song writers such as Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Charlie Hall, and Matt Redman because God is still moving in people's lives inspiring new songs of praise. We also use hymns that have been sung for generations because they have not lost their meaning.  We are continuing the tradition of taking old hymns and setting the words to new music.

We are still forming this team and need keyboard players and percussionists (we have a keyboard and a cajon that are available to use) as well as singers and other instrumentalists.

If you would like to be a part of leading the music for the 9 am worship service contact Paul Crumley at paulcrumley@hotmail.com for information.

Isaiah 12:5 (The Message)

5-6"Sing praise-songs to God. He's done it all!
Let the whole earth know what he's done!
Raise the roof! Sing your hearts out, O Zion!
The Greatest lives among you: The Holy of Israel."

Jeremiah 31:7 (The Message)

 7Oh yes, God says so:
"Shout for joy at the top of your lungs for Jacob!
Announce the good news to the number-one nation!
Raise cheers! Sing praises. Say,
   'God has saved his people,
   saved the core of Israel.'

Romans 5:9 (The Message)

9-11Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way. If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we're at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!

Ephesians 5:18 (The Message)

18-20 Don't drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him. Sing hymns instead of drinking songs! Sing songs from your heart to Christ. Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of our Master, Jesus Christ.

Psalm 27:6 (The Message)

6 God holds me head and shoulders
above all who try to pull me down.
I'm headed for his place to offer anthems
      that will raise the roof!
   Already I'm singing God-songs;
      I'm making music to God.

Psalm 35:9 (The Message)

9-10 But let me run loose and free,
      celebrating God's great work,
Every bone in my body laughing, singing, "God,
      there's no one like you.
You put the down-and-out on their feet
and protect the unprotected from bullies!"

Psalm 40:1 (The Message)

1-3 I waited and waited and waited for God. At last he looked; finally he listened.
He lifted me out of the ditch,
      pulled me from deep mud.
He stood me up on a solid rock
to make sure I wouldn't slip.
He taught me how to sing the latest God-song,
      a praise-song to our God.
More and more people are seeing this:
      they enter the mystery,
      abandoning themselves to God.

Psalm 95:1-3 (New International Version)

 1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.

3 For the LORD is the great God,
the great King above all gods.

Psalm 96:1 (The Message)

1-2 Sing God a brand-new song! Earth and everyone in it, sing!
   Sing to  God—worship God!

Psalm 149:1-3 (The Message)

1-4 Hallelujah! Sing to God a brand-new song,
praise him in the company of all who love him.
Let all Israel celebrate their Sovereign Creator,
Zion 's children exult in their King.
   Let them praise his name in dance;
strike up the band and make great music!
And why? Because God delights in his people,
festoons plain folk with salvation garlands!
